The Horizon replica connection server will have ideal settings as the primary connection server. This configuration will help to achieve high availability and load-balancing capabilities for the connection server instances. It is always recommended to have two connection servers as this helps to reduce the risk of a single point of failure. Also, if you are planning to have more than 2000 user sessions then you should plan to have two connection servers as one connection server can handle up to 4000 concurrent sessions but the recommended limit is 2000 sessions. Especially, when you are secure gateways/secure tunnels on the Connection Server. To view Horizon configuration limits click here.
01. Run the Horizon Connection Server installation file.
02. Click Next.
03. Accept the license agreement and click Next.
04. Click Next.
05. Select the type of Connection Server as Horizon Replica Server. Then Click Next.
06. Define the primary Connection Server hostname or IP address. Click Next.
07. Select Configure Windows Firewall automatically then Click Next.
08. Click Install.
09. Just sit back and relax 😉 until the installation is finished.
10. Click Finish.
Now you can log into the Horizon Admin console.
